Lemont Township United Party Announces 2017 Slate

The party made its 2017 endorsements for supervisor, clerk, assessor, highway commissioner and trustees.

LEMONT, IL - The Lemont Township United Party has made its endorsements for the upcoming election.

The party's slate for the April 4 election includes Steven F. Rosendahl for supervisor, Barbara A. Buschman for clerk, Kenneth C. Jacobowski for assessor, Mark A. Labno for highway commissioner, Gregory F. Gilbertson, Gregory W. Nicklas, Francis E. Wozniak and Douglas "Doug" M. Wright for trustee.

Rosendahl said he is "very excited" about the possibility of working with this group for the upcoming term.

Among the issued the United Party stands for is a strong opposition to the Palos Land Grab.

"We have attended all public meetings both locally and at the Cook County level," a party representative wrote in a news release. "We will continue to fight to preserve our property values and keep our real estate taxes as low as possible. Losing control to unbridled development within our borders will put a burden upon our residents and taxing bodies."
