Lemont Veteran receives Illinois 200 Bicentenial Award

On December 3rd, the Illinois Department of Veterans affairs honored Lemont's Frank Wozniak. He was one of 200 veterans from across the state of Illinois, who have gone above and beyond in serving their fellow veterans and communities.

Supervisor Steve Rosendahl accompanied Frank & his wife Anna to Navy Pier in Chicago to receive the award. "He has certainly continued his service for many years in our community and for that this is a well deserved honor."

He was personally congratulated by Govenor Bruce Rauner and Govenor elect J.B. Pritzer.

The Lemont Township board and staff members are extremely proud of Frank.

For over 38 years he has helped move Lemont forward.

Lemont thanks him for his service on and off the battlefield!
