Lemont Winter Parking Rules, Information
Here is some handy information to know as winter and snow will soon hit Lemont.

LEMONT, IL — Winter is approaching, and that means snow will soon be hitting Lemont. While the village has yet to have a major accumulation this season, residents should know the rules for winter parking, including after a snowfall.
According to the village, during and after any snowfall, residents should try to remove vehicles from village streets, if at all possible. This will help to facilitate clearing the snow faster and more efficiently. However, if removing vehicles is not possible, after a snowfall of 2 inches or more, you should park on the odd numbered site of the street on odd calendar days, and the even numbered side of the street on even calendar days.
As for salting roads to control snow or ice, the public works department begins those measures even before hazardous road conditions are expected. The village said as soon as conditions warrant it, the salting process begins on major streets designated as primary routes, hills, curves, and all intersections. Residential streets that are relatively flat will be salted only at intersections.
