Lemont Woman Killed In Darien Crash: Cops

LEMONT, IL — A Lemont woman was killed in a car accident involving two cars on Friday night in Darien. Darien Police said Janina Petuchow, 52, was killed in the crash at 5:47 p.m. Dec. 8 at Clarendon Hills Road and 67th Street.

She was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove where she later died from her injuries, police said. The other driver involved in the crash was not injured, there were no other passengers in either vehicle.

Police said they are investigating the crash, and it is unknown at this time whether drugs or alcohol were a
contributing factor. The Major Crash Reconstruction Team from the Felony Investigation Assistance Team
(FIAT) responded and is assisting in this investigation.
