Lemont's 150 For 150 Anniversary Campaign Announced

LEMONT, IL - As part of the Village's 150th anniversary celebrations this year, local businesses and residents can join the Lemont 150 for 150 campaign.

"We're seeking 150 sponsors to donate $150 each," Mayor John Egofske said during Monday's Village Board meeting.

In return for the donation, sponsors will receive a personalized 150th anniversary certificate of recognition and a print of an original Joyce Affelt watercolor painting, which is the "Lemont Steeples Modern II," Egofske added.

The 150th anniversary will be tied into several Lemont events this year, but there is also a special celebration planned for June 10.

The event will include an old-fashioned street fair on Front Street, with family-friendly activities and cultural flare, according to the Village.
