The outfielder committed during a Signing Day ceremony this week.

Lemont High School senior outfielder Lisa Jaworski has committed to play college softball at College of DuPage beginning in 2016. She joins shortstop Rylie Jay (Western Illinois University) as members of Lemont’s Class of 2015 who will play college softball.

A .320 career hitter, Jaworski is a three-year varsity letterwinner who is expected to play an important role for head coach Christine Traina’s Indians in 2015. Over her three varsity seasons, Lemont has posted a 73-28 record, won two South Suburban Conference-Blue Division titles, and captured two IHSA Regional crowns.

Jaworski batted a career-high .333 as a junior in 2014, and added career bests with three doubles, 17 runs batted in, a .410 slugging percentage, and her first career home run. She also batted .385 with runners in scoring position. The Indians were 23-11 and won an IHSA Regional title.

Jaworski immediately stepped into the starting line-up as a freshman in 2012, batting .313 while playing in all 35 games. She posted career highs with 31 hits, 27 runs scored, seven walks and six stolen bases. Lemont went 25-10 and captured its first-ever SSC Blue crown.

Jaworski will be the second member of her family to play college softball. Her sister, Carly, is a 2013 Lemont graduate who will be a sophomore on the Lewis University softball team this spring.

A high honor roll student, Jaworski will play for head coach Ryan Connell at College of DuPage, a community college located in Glen Ellyn, Ill., and a member of the North Central Community College Conference (NC4). Connell guided the Chaparrals to a 30-14 record last spring.
