Lemont's Performing Arts Center Stage to Host 'Mr. LHS' Contest on Feb. 5

Proceeds will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Lemont High School’s Junior Class will host the “Mr. LHS” contest on Friday, February 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the school’s Performing Arts Center. The event will pit male students from the junior and senior classes against each other as they compete for the “Mr. LHS” crown. Proceeds from the “Mr. LHS” contest will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Juniors Kyle Marks and Siena Schuth will serve as hosts for the event, which will include four rounds of competition.

All contestants will take part in each of the four rounds of the evening’s festivities. This year’s contestants include seniors Jack Buday, Jaron Fay,Chris Konicki, Casey O’Brien and Mike Prasauskas, and juniors Kevin Tuscher and Mike Zekich.

The evening will include a talent round, with contestants having up to one minute to show off the talent of their choice. The fashion round will give contestants the opportunity to choose their own outfits. In the trivia round, competitors tackle as many questions as they can in a limited amount of time. The epic final round will consist of a lip sync battle.

At the conclusion of the final round, the audience will vote on the best of the talent, fashion and lip sync competitions, and ultimately select this year’s “Mr. LHS.” A “Mr. Lifesaver” award will be given to the contestant who raised the most money in conjunction with this year’s event.

All tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the door that evening.
