Lemontster Days 2021: Drive-In Movie, Halloween Hoedown

LEMONT, IL — Although current temperatures don't feel like it, the first day of fall is about a month away already. And with the start of autumn comes the start of Lemontster Days, featuring a variety of events throughout October.

Various Lemont organizations and agencies hold events as part of Lemontster Days, and the line-up of events has been released. Note that these events are subject to change.

Here's a look at single-day events planned this year:

• Oct. 1, drive-in movie, hosted by Lemont Park District
• Oct. 2, fire district open house, hosted by Lemont Fire Protection District
• Oct. 9, trick or treat trail (ages 2-12), hosted by Lemont Park District
• Oct. 9, Witches Walk, hosted by Lemont Park Foundation and Heritage Corridor Business Alliance
• Oct. 16, Halloween blood drive, hosted by Lemont Park District
• Oct. 21, Goosebumps party (ages 5 and up), hosted by Lemont Library
• Oct. 21, Author visit: John Everson, hosted by Lemont Library
• Oct. 22, "Hocus Pocus" movie night, hosted by Lemont Historical Society
• Oct. 23, Halloween Hoedown, hosted by Village of Lemont
• Oct. 24, "Pumpkin Tales," hosted by Lemont Library
• Oct. 24, Lemont Township Family Scarecrow Fest and Lemont Juniorettes Spooktacular fun run, hosted by Lemont Township and Lemont Juniorettes
• Oct. 25, Haunted Page Halloween tricks and tales, hosted by Lemont Library

Trick-or-treating in Lemont will be held Oct. 31 from 3 to 6:30 p.m.
