LHG Test Kitchen Week Features 5 Lemont, HG Restaurants

The event runs until Jan. 20.

LEMONT, IL — The first LHG Test Kitchen week started Friday in Homer Glen and Lemont, the Heritage Corridor Business Alliance said in a news release. Participating locations will showcase unique items and new items, including entrées, drinks and desserts. The event runs until Jan. 20, according to the alliance.

“Between the pandemic, staffing issues, and the post-holiday lull, it’s a tough time for restaurants,” Dan Mulka, Executive Director of the Heritage Corridor Business Alliance, said in a release. “So, we reinvented the wheel and came up with a new take on the traditional restaurant week concept. LHG Test Kitchen Week is about creativity and showcasing the restaurant's kitchen talent, rather than discounts that take away from the restaurant’s bottom line.”

Five restaurants in Homer Glen and Lemont will participate in this year's event, including:

  • Barrel & Vine in Lemont
  • Digs on Canal in Lemont
  • Wooden Paddle in Lemont
  • Mugshots Sports Bar & Grill in Homer Glen
  • The Phoenix Kitchen & Cocktails in Homer Glen

Guests can also rate and give feedback on menu items. Scores and comments will be given to each individual restaurant at the conclusion of the event, the alliance said. The top-rated entrée and drink will receive an award at the conclusion of the event.
