LHS Alum Named On US Men's National Team Roster For January Camp
Mihailovic is the only player from Chicago Fire to be named on the January camp roster.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School alumnus and Chicago Fire Soccer Club midfielder Djordje Mihailovic has been named on the roster of the U.S. Men’s National Team's annual January training camp, set to run from Jan. 7– Feb. 2. According to Chicago Fire,this is the first time Mihailovic, 20, has been called up to the National Team.
The camp is held at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in Chula Vista, California, and the men's team will prepare for the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup. The team will then travel to Arizona after camp to face Panama on Jan. 27.
Mihailovic signed with Chicago Fire as a homegrown player in 2017. Soccer was always a huge part of Mihailovic's life, as his dad, Alecs, played professionally in the North American Soccer League. He started playing with his dad's club, the Chicago Blast, but eventually joined the Fire Academy.

Chicago Fire said Mihailovic has made 26 appearances (15 starts) since joining the team and has had two goals and six assists.
According to U.S. Soccer, only six players, including Mihailovic, called to camp are age eligible for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Mihailovic is the only player from Chicago Fire to be named on the January camp roster.
