LHS Alumni Hall Of Fame Set To Welcome Two Inductees
Dr. Glenn Groselak '74 and Abraham Ordman '43 will be recognized at the school's annual band benefit dinner dance.
LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School will welcome its sixth class of alumni hall of fame inductees March 7. The school said this year's honorees, Dr. Glenn Groselak '74 and Abraham Ordman '43, will be recognized at the school's annual band benefit dinner dance.
The Alumni Hall of Fame recognizes graduates who have made significant contributions to society and serve as role models to Lemont High School students, the school said. This recognition is the highest honor that can be given by Lemont High School to one of its alumni.
The 31st annual Lemont High School band benefit dinner dance will feature the music of the school’s jazz bands, and will run from 6-11:30 p.m., with dinner being served at 7 p.m. The Alumni Hall of Fame honorees will be inducted at approximately 7:45 p.m., the school said.

The dancing portion of the evening will begin at 8:30 p.m. and run through the rest of the night. The evening also will include raffles for cash and prizes, with winners being announced later in the evening.
Reservations for the Band Benefit Dinner Dance are $65 per person (ages 13 and older), and include dinner, dancing and a cash bar. Children ages 2-12 are $35 each . The deadline for reservations is Monday, Feb. 10.

According to the school, all Alumni Hall of Fame honorees must be of good character, reflecting the qualities and ideals set forth by Lemont High School. Nominees are eligible for induction to the Lemont High School Alumni Hall of Fame 10 years after their graduation from the school.
Previous Alumni Hall of Fame inductees have included Joe Forzley ‘45, Patricia (Dalman) Knight ‘64 and Al Meyer ‘67 in 2015; Leo Cattoni ‘69, Terry Duffy ‘73 and Dr. Sam Forzley ‘77 in 2016; Al Albrecht ‘59, Mary Lou Carlson ‘71 and Norma (Landgren) Johnson ‘38 in 2017; Kenneth Novak ‘69, George Rimbo ‘87 and Dr. Donald Weber ‘59; and Victoria (West) Cobbett ‘69 and James Driscoll ‘74 in 2019.
