LHS Announces Summer Reading Books
LHS has announced its summer reading selections for the next school year.

LEMONT, IL - Lemont High School has announced its “Our Books, Our School” selections for the 2017-18 school year. According to a release, over the summer, students will have their choice of three young adult novels selected by a committee of the school’s faculty, staff and administration.
LHS said the selection committee solicited book suggestions from faculty, students and parents. The program includes multiple titles to allow students to explore a variety of works. Students are required to read at least one of the “Our Books, Our School” selections, but can read as many as they want. The 2017-18 selections include:
- "All We Have Left" by Wendy Mills.
- "Need" by Joelle Charbonneau.
- "The Running Dream" by Wendelin Van Draanen.
According to a release, Anderson’s Bookshops will be on campus during lunch periods on May 16-17 to sell copies of all of the summer reading selections at a reduced price. Old Quarry Middle School will host Anderson’s Bookshops on May 22 to facilitate purchases for next year’s freshmen, while parents/guardians of non-Old Quarry incoming freshmen may purchase their students’ books between 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on May 16-17 at Lemont High School.
