LHS Bands Take Home Top Honors
The LHS Honors Symphonic Band and the Concert Band both won several awards.
LEMONT, IL - Lemont High School hosted the 31st annual Midwest Music Festival on Feb. 25, which attracted many bands from throughout the area.
According to a press release from Lemont High School, the Honors Symphonic Band earned first place in the Group 1 classification, and also was tabbed with Best Brass and Best Percussion section accolades. This group was also awarded the Grand Champion trophy as the best band of the day.
The Concert Band finished third in the Group 3 classification and took away Best Woodwind section honors for its group.
