LHS Board Approves $21.2 Million 2019 Tax Levy

The District 210 board of education has approved a property tax levy of $21,290,000.

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont High School District 210 Board of Education has approved the 2019 tax levy. At its Dec. 16 meeting, the board approved a property tax levy of $21,290,000.

According to board documents, a breakdown of the levy is:

  • IMRF fund, $300,000
  • Social security fund, $300,000
  • Liability insurance fund, $400,000
  • Transportation fund, $700,000
  • Education fund, $16,590,000
  • Building fund, $3,000,000

The district also gave a breakdown of total budgeted revenues for fiscal year 2020. Board documents state revenues come from: real estate taxes, 81 percent; general state aid, 3 percent; state grants, 3 percent; federal grants, 2 percent; impact aid, 3 percent; and other local revenue (food service and textbook rental fees, investment earnings, corporate property replacement taxes), 8 percent.
