LHS Bowler Finishes Among Top 40 At Girls’ Bowling State Finals
Anifer placed 39th among all individuals at the event with a 12-game pinfall of 2,336.

LEMONT, IL — Making her state finals debut, Lemont High School senior Kendra Anifer placed among the top 40 individuals at the 2019 IHSA Girls’ Bowling State Finals, which were contested at The Cherry Bowl in Rockford on Feb. 15–16. The school said Anifer is the first state qualifier from head coach Mark Hollatz’s girls’ bowling program since 2015.
Anifer placed 39th among all individuals at the event with a 12-game pinfall of 2,336 (194.7 average). In her first three games, she posted a 733 series (244.3 average). That series was the second-highest series among all bowlers over the two-day event, and her first game of 269 was the sixth-highest of any game at the event, the school said.
After shooting a 483 series in the afternoon on the first day, Anifer placed 22nd individually. She followed up with series of 602 and 518 on the second day.
