LHS Dance Team Advances To State Finals Competition

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont High School dance team will compete at this weekend's 2023 IHSA Class 2A competitive dance state finals, the school shared on its Facebook.

The team, coached by Beth Purcell, has advanced to the state finals for the fourth straight season and the eighth time in 10 years, the school said.

The state finals will be held Friday and Saturday at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington.

There are three classes to the dance state finals; Lemont is in Class 2A, according to the IHSA website. Some nearby schools in Class 2A include Romeoville High School, Wheaton Warrenville South, Richards High School, Riverside Brookfield High School, Argo, Oak Forest High School, Providence Catholic and Lincoln-Way West, among many others.
