LHS Delivers Masks To First Responders, Hospital
Although the coronavirus has closed schools for the remainder of the year, teachers at LHS are delivering masks to first responders.
LEMONT, IL —Although Lemont High School is now closed for the rest of the school year due to the coronavirus, several LHS teachers have still been working to provide protective masks for first responders in the area.
The school said 12 3D printers from the Makerspace in the CITGO Innovation Academy at LHS have made their way to the homes of faculty members, and are printing around the clock to make reusable protective masks. Over 150 masks have been completed.

Masks have been delivered to the Lemont Police Department and the Lemont Fire Protection District, as well as Palos Health Hospital and various clinics, the school said. CITGO provided funding for the 3D printer, and also donated the materials for the masks.
