LHS Fall Play, Gallery Set For Opening
The fall play and "GALLERY 306" will be running from Nov. 2-4.

LEMONT, IL — Everyone’s favorite candy man - Willy Wonka - will be joined by many other classic characters on Lemont High School’s Performing Arts stage. The Drama Club’s fall play - “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” - will be featured from Nov. 2-4. In conjunction with the fall play, the school’s Art Department will be featuring its inaugural exhibit in “GALLERY 306.”
The school said the production of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” is set to run in the school’s Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. nightly. Tickets may be purchased at the door, and are $10 for adults and $7 for children, senior citizens and students with a valid school ID. “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” will be performed under the direction of Paula Smith, with Leslie Kane serving as the assistant director.
According to the school, the inaugural exhibit in “Gallery 306” is a juried student art show. “GALLERY 306” will be open from 5:45-6:45 p.m. nightly from Nov. 2-4, and will spotlight a variety of outstanding work from Lemont High School students.

Those planning to attend any performance of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” may park in the school’s parking garage or in the lot outside the Performing Arts Center; both are accessible off of Julia Street. Patrons for Saturday’s show should plan to arrive early and allow for extra time to park, as Lemont’s football team is hosting an IHSA Playoff game at 6 p.m.
