LHS Football Playoffs: LHS Faces East St. Louis In Quarterfinals

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School's boys' football team has advanced to the quarterfinals of the IHSA Class 6A playoffs after last week's victory against Springfield.

Lemont defeated Springfield 72-36 in the second round of playoffs, according to IHSA results. Now, LHS will face East St. Louis at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at Lemont.

East St. Louis is 9-2, while Lemont is 11-0.

The winner of Saturday's game will advance to the semifinals of playoffs and face the winner of the Crete-Monee High School and Washington High School match-up.

Tickets for Saturday's game are $7, and can only be purchased online.

The championship match for Class 6A will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 27 at Huskie Stadium in DeKalb.
