LHS Girls Tennis Team Wins Conference For 16th Consecutive Year

Several members of the team will compete at sectionals, which will be held at LHS on Friday and Saturday.

LEMONT, IL — Several members of the Lemont High School varsity girls tennis team will compete in sectionals competition after the team's first-place South Suburban Conference finish. Head coach Chris Hill said the team has won conference 16 years in a row.

First singles player Erin Ford, first doubles Emma Manthey and Abbey Lakickas, and third doubles Erin Barndollar and Vicky Krol all took first place at the conference meet; and second singles Aashka Trivedi and first doubles Annette Winterland and Kaley Cronin finished in second place.

Ford, Trivedi, Winterland, Cronin, Lakickas and Manthey will all compete at sectionals, which will be held at Lemont High School on Friday and Saturday.

Lemont's sectional includes eight other teams: Elmwood Park, Glenbard South, Joliet Catholic Academy, Nazareth Academy, Lisle High School, Providence Catholic, Fenwick High School and Trinity High School.
