LHS Graduation Set For Class Of 2017

The Class of 2017 will graduate on Friday, May 26.

LEMONT, IL —Lemont High School will hold a Graduation ceremony for its Class of 2017 on Friday, May 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the school's gymnasium. According to a release from the school, attendance for this event is limited to those individuals who have a ticket for entry.

The school said each student who will take part in graduation is allotted five tickets for seating in the gymnasium. Seating will be available on the main floor and in the bleachers. Students also are given two tickets for seats in the Performing Arts Center, where the graduation ceremony will be broadcast on closed circuit television.

According to a release, guests with special seating needs are asked to call (630) 243-3222 no later than Tuesday, May 23, to detail those needs. Those individuals should arrive at graduation no later than 6:15 p.m. and will be seated (along with one other ticket holder) prior to the doors opening to the rest of ticket holders.

General seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Professional ushers will direct guests to their seats. Parking is available in all five of the school’s lots, as well as the parking garage.

After the ceremony, Lemont High School will host “Project Graduation,” an all-night, chemical-free party that will provide members of the Class of 2017 with an outing that is both safe and fun on the night of their graduation. According to a release, the party is held on campus, and organized by parents, faculty and members of the community. Check-in for Project Graduation begins at 10:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center entrance, and no student will be admitted after 11:30 p.m.
