LHS Mathletes Finish 25th At 2023 ICTM Class 3AA State Finals
The team posted top 20 finishes in three event.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont placed 25th among 56 teams at the 2023 Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics Division 3AA State Finals. The team posted top 20 finishes in three events, the District said in a news release.
The team’s top finish in state finals competition came in the Calculator team competition, where seniors Caleb Bozue and Delaney Zimmerman, junior Amelia Dunkin, sophomore Om Patel and freshman Emilija Bendziunaite combined for a 12th-place finish, the school said.
The Geometry Written Team, which included sophomores Lauren Ascolani, Julianna Duran, Alexander Lazarowicz, Vikram Oberai, Gabriel Peng and Leonardo Rafacz, was 17th in its competition. Seniors Erin Barndollar and Aashka Trivedi were 18th in the Oral Competition.

Rafacz was the top individual finisher in state finals competition, placing 63rd in Geometry.
Lemont won its regional to earn a team berth to the ICTM State Finals, the school said. The team posted wins in Algebra II, Calculator, Freshman/Sophomore 2-Person Team, and Junior/Senior 2-Person Team.
