LHS Offers Spring Semester SAT Prep Classes
Lemont High School's Class of 2024 will take the SAT on April 12.
LEMONT, IL — Beginning in January, Lemont High School will offer SAT 1600, a test preparation program designed to familiarize students with the SAT, the school said in a news release. Registration has begun for SAT 1600, which is open to all Lemont High School juniors, as well as juniors from other area schools.
Students may choose between two seven-week programs, each of which consists of two-hour weekly sessions that run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Lemont High School. The first session begins on Jan. 31 and will meet each Tuesday through March 14. The second session will meet on Wednesdays from Feb. 1 through March 15, the school said. Students in both sessions will take a Practice SAT during the week of March 6; that week’s session will run from 5:30-9 p.m.
The course costs $325 for the seven sessions, which includes the textbook and practice SAT, according to the school. Classes are held online if school is cancelled due to inclement weather or other circumstances.

The deadline to register for one of the school’s SAT 1600 programs is Jan. 13 or once sections are filled. Students must register and pay online.
