LHS Parents: Help Plan All-Night Party for Your Grads

Planning meeting for Lemont High School's "Project Graduation" will take place at 7 p.m. tonight in the LHS Learning Resource Center.

Planning for “Project Graduation” – an all-night, chemical-free party held annually on the night of Lemont High School’s Graduation – has begun, and all of the school’s parents are invited to be a part of the planning activities.

Lemont High School parents are invited to attend an upcoming planning meeting for the 2013 version of “Project Graduation” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, in the school’s Learning Resource Center. The doors at the north entrance of the building, off of Porter Street, will be open at 6:45 p.m.

Project Graduation, which began in 1990, provides Lemont High School seniors with an outing that is both safe and fun on the night of their graduation. Held on campus, the party is organized by parents, faculty and members of the community, and is intended not only to provide a good time, but also reduce the chance of any student being involved in an alcohol- or drug-related accident.

Project Graduation will offer a variety of supervised activities, as well as food, music and raffles.

Parents, community members and local businesses are encouraged to consider donating food, raffle prizes, money or their own time to help make Project Graduation a night to remember for Lemont High School’s Class of 2013.

Those interested in making a donation should contact Project Graduation Committee Chairs William and Lori Koehler at 630-257-3549 or lori.koehler.c29x@statefarm.com.

For more information, contact either of the school’s Project Graduation faculty liaisons: business teacher John Aspel at johna@lemont.k12.il.us  or 630-243-3808 or science teacher Erin Boyd at erinb@lemont.k12.il.us or 630-243-3887.
