LHS Plans Eighth Grade Open House

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School will host its annual Eighth Grade Open House on Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The school said the event provides an opportunity for current eighth grade students and their parents/guardians to meet Lemont High School teachers, counselors and administrators. Additionally, the school has scheduled its mandatory freshman placement exam for Saturday, Dec. 1.

Any incoming student who lives within the school’s attendance boundaries, or who will live within those boundaries during the 2019-20 school year, is encouraged to take advantage of the “sneak peek” the open house provides, the school said. Lemont High School’s attendance boundaries include Lemont and portions of Darien, Downers Grove and Woodridge.

According to the school, Students and parents/guardians alike will have the chance to learn about the fine academic and extra-curricular programs offered by LHS. Prospective students and their parents/guardians may visit various areas throughout the building as well, including the school’s outstanding athletic facilities, the state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center, and the newly revamped CITGO Innovation Academy.

The Eighth Grade Open House will begin in the school’s Performing Arts Center, which is located on the southwest side of campus. Lemont High School is located at 800 Porter St. in Lemont.
