LHS Presents 'Grease' As Spring Musical
Lemont High School will present Samuel French's "Grease" for nightly performances from Thursday, May 10, through Saturday, May 12.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School will transform into ‘Rydell High’ for three nights in May as the school’s Performing Arts Center will feature Samuel French’s "Grease" for nightly performances from Thursday, May 10, through Saturday, May 12. In conjunction with the musical, the school’s Art Department will be featuring its “ART is the Word” exhibit in “GALLERY 306.”
The school said all performances of "Grease," will be produced by Dave Nommensen, and will begin at 7 p.m., and tickets are on sale now for each performance. All tickets are $15, and all seats in the Performing Arts Center - including the balcony and main level - are reserved seats.

According to the school, Samuel French’s "Grease" will be directed by Paula Smith and choreographed by Jeni Donahue, with orchestral direction by Matt Doherty and vocal direction by Stephanie Cesaroni. Brett Baleskie will head up set design and construction and Matt Davis will serve as the backstage technical supervisor. Designers for the production will include Joelle Beranek (costumes), Bob Kuper (make-up) and Rob Reder (sound and lighting). Oliver Townsend will serve as the accompanist, while Dawn Scuderi will serve as the front-of-house manager. DJ Long designs the posters, cast shirts and program covers.
“GALLERY 306” debuted this year and has hosted student art shows corresponding with both the fall and winter plays, the school said. “ART is the Word” will be juried by Lemont alumni. “GALLERY 306” will be open from 5:45-6:45 p.m. nightly from May 10-12, spotlighting a variety of outstanding work from Lemont High School students.
