LHS Senior Records Perfect ACT Score

Anna Ford is the fourth student in LHS history to earn a perfect ACT score.

LEMONT, IL — Senior Anna Ford has been one of the top students in Lemont High School’s Class of 2018 since she first walked through its doors four years ago as an eighth grader. According to a release from LHS, Ford has maintained a perfect grade point average while taking on some of the most rigorous courses that LHS offers, and she participates in a multitude of extra-curricular activities. Ford joined select company recently when she became just the fourth student in school history to score a 36 on the ACT exam.

According to a release, on average, about one-tenth of one percent of students who take the ACT earn the top score. For example, in the high school graduating class of 2016, just more than 2,200 of nearly 2.1 million students earned an ACT composite score of 36.

Ford began her career at LHS as an eighth grader, as she was one of a handful of students from her class to take an accelerated math class on campus while still a student at Old Quarry Middle School. According to a release, since her freshman year, Ford has been heavily active in the school’s extra-curricular programs. She is a four-year member of the girls’ tennis program and has served as a team captain for that squad. Ford has also participated in Mathletes state finals competition three straight years and helped that team to three South Suburban Conference-Blue Division titles.
