LHS Soccer, Softball Players Earn All-State Honors
Two soccer players and four softball players earned All-State honors.
LEMONT, IL — Several student-athletes from Lemont High School's soccer and softball teams have earned All-State honors, the school shared on its Facebook.
Soccer players Paige Bingen and Casey Kittridge earned All-State honors from the Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Association. The school said Paige repeated as an all-state honoree after totaling one goal and seven assists and controlling play in the midfield.
Casey had one goal and ranked third on the team with 14 assists from her center back position, and helped Lemont's defense post 12 shutouts.

Lemont's team went 17-6-1 this season, won its 17th straight South Suburban Conference title, and won its 10th straight IHSA Regional crown.
Softball players Sage Mardjetko and Frankie Rita each earned 2023 Illinois Coaches Association Class 3A All-State First Team honors, the school said. Sage was named to the team for the third straight year. Mardjetko hit .364 with a team-leading five home runs and 17 RBIs and the pitcher went 23-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 340 strikeouts in 143.1 innings of work.

A two-time second-team all-state honoree, Frankie led the team in batting average (.573), hits (55), on-base percentage (.617), runs (50) and steals (28) and only struck out once in 108 plate appearances, the school said.
Avaree Taylor (.500, 24 RBIs) was named to the second team, and Raegan Duncan (.436, 3 HR, team-leading 36 RBIs) was a third team all-stater for the second straight season, according to the school.
