LHS Softball Team Heads To State Semifinals

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School's softball team will play in the IHSA Class 3A semifinals on Friday. The team will face off against Antioch at 10 a.m. at Louisville Slugger Sports Complex in Peoria.
The team made it to the state finals tournament thanks to a super-sectional win over Metamora, according to LHS. The team won 1-0.
Raegan Duncan led off the second inning with a home run, and Sage Mardjetko struck out 15 while tossing a perfect game to seal up a return trip to the state finals, the school said.

The winner of the Lemont vs. Antioch game will face the winner of the Mahomet-Seymour vs. St. Ignatius College Prep match-up. The third place game will be played at 9 a.m. Saturday, and the championship will be played at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
