LHS Students Earn Junior Achievement Honors
The school's Junior Achievement entry this year - "Township Trivia" - proved to be very successful.
LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School juniors Martynas Juskelis and Alexander Mucha each earned top honors within their respective officer divisions at the 2017 Chicagoland Junior Achievement competition, which recently was held at Robert Morris University’s downtown Chicago campus. According to a release, Juskelis was cited as the President Officer of the Year, while Mucha brought home Supply Chain Officer of the Year accolades.
Led by Juskelis, the school’s Junior Achievement entry this year - “Township Trivia” - proved to be very successful, LHS said. The “Township Trivia” board game is a must have for anyone who knows and loves Lemont. The game resembles Trivial Pursuit, incorporating fun facts about the Village of Lemont through a variety of categories, as well as coupons that can be used at local businesses. Support from businesses throughout Lemont and the surrounding communities helped fund the project through advertisements.
According to a release, “Township Trivia” nearly sold out all 250 units during the pre-sale period before Christmas. The company made more than $2,200 in profit, which was divided between the Will Power Challenge through Hope and Friendship Ministries, the Lemont Food Pantry and the Lemont Area Historical Society.
