LHS Students Finish In Top 10 In Poetry Contest

The contest is sponsored annually by the Naional Federation of State Poetry Societies.

LEMONT, IL — Three Lemont High School students were recently among Illinois' top ten in the Manningham Trust Student Poetry contest. The school said the contest is sponsored annually by the Naional Federation of State Poetry Societies.

Senior Maria Purpura, a student of Patty Melei; junior Emily Maher, a student of Sean Clark; and freshman Alex Leeberedes, a student of Marek Dron; were all honored this year, the school shared. The three students are now eligible for national accolades as well.
