Snow will begin early Saturday morning and end later in the day Saturday.

The Chicago area may finally see some snow on Saturday, especially south of I-80. The rest of the area will also get some snow, but snow amounts will taper off to the north. According to the National Weather Service, snow will begin in central Illinois overnight. Snow will continue through the day Saturday, and will end from the west on Saturday evening.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for counties including Will, Kendall, Grundy and LaSalle from the early morning hours through Saturday night.

The NWS said the highest accumulations are expected along and south of I-80, where several inches are expected. The farther north you live, the less snow you will receive, with little or no snow accumulation possible north of I-90 to near the Wisconsin state line.
