Snow, Freezing Rain To Start The Work Week: Chicago Weather

ILLINOIS — Milder temperatures are expected this week, as well as a chance for light snow and freezing drizzle. The National Weather Service said patchy snow and freezing drizzle will start the week Monday.

Monday has a high of 45 degrees, and gusts up to 10 mph are expected. Tuesday will be even warmer with a high of 49 degrees, and it will be windy once more with gusts up to 25 mph.

There is a chance of rain and snow throughout the day Wednesday, according to the weather service. Wednesday will have a high of 44. Thursday will be slightly cooler with a high of 33, and a chance of snow is possible late Thursday night.

Rain and snow will also close out the week Friday, and temps will be milder once more with a high of 43 degrees.

Monday: Patchy snow and freezing drizzle before 7 a.m. Cloudy, with a high near 41. Southwest wind around 5 mph, with gusts as high as 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 44. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 33.
