More Snow To Start The Week, Winter Temps Move In: IL Weather
Some light snow will be possible on Monday, but accumulation isn't likely.

ILLINOIS — After a day of rain, thunderstorms and even tornadoes to start the month of December, many Chicagoland areas remain under flood watches and warnings. According to the National Weather Service, Cook, La Salle, Will, Lake, Boone and Ogle counties have a flood advisory in place until Monday, and many other areas have watches and warnings for floods.
The NWS said Chicago got 1.13 inches of rain on Dec. 1, bringing the year's total rainfall to 47.07 inches and making 2018 the fourth-wettest year on record.
While the Chicago area had heavy rain and some storms Saturday, south central Illinois had reports of tornadoes. Multiple outlets were reporting a tornado causing significant damage in Taylorville, Illinois, located about 30 miles southeast of Springfield.
