From Terri:
Join Me in Supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Support Hope and Friendship Team #Be the Light as we walk to fight suicide in the Out of the Darkness Chicagoland Walk .
I am not simply walking as "one" affected by suicide, I am walking as
"one" who has sat by the side of "many" who have been affected by
suicide. I am walking for every parent, sibling, spouse, loved one and
friend who has wondered what they missed, what they failed to say, what
they didn't do or what they could've done better. The decision was not
ours then but it is ours now and we can walk, raise money, speak out
loud and speak with passion that every life matters and more assistance
and support is needed NOW. My goal is to raise all I can and walk for
as many of these walks as I'm here to walk with the goal of even saving
just "one" because every "one" matters.
I will be walking on Saturday Sept 23rd in Chicago raising funds for
AFSP. I invite you to support me by donation, prayer or joining me to
walk with my team: Team Hope and Friendship #BeTheLight will be
joining the community of nearly 250k people walking in hundreds of
cities across the country in support of the American Foundation for
Suicide Prevention's mission to save lives and bring hope to those
affected by suicide.
Please help us reach our fundraising goal by donating to a team member. To donate online, please select "Roster" and then choose one of the team members listed. Once you're on their page, click "Donate Now." Donations can only be made to individuals, but the total each participant raises goes toward our team goal.
All donations are 100% tax
deductible and will help bring AFSP one step closer to achieving their
bold goal to reduce the suicide rate 20% by 2025.
You can also support Team #BeTheLight us by registering to walk with our team - just click the "join our team" button above.
Thank you!
Peace,
Terri O'Neill-Borders
