The Chicago Zoological Society is hiring 1,000-1,200 seasonal workers for the busy summer season at Brookfield Zoo. Jobs have staggered start dates and include a variety of professional, administrative, scientific, executive, technical, trades, clerical, restaurant, merchandising, groundskeeping, and service positions. Windy City Thunderbolts are looking for qualified individuals to work on a seasonal basis for the 2017 season as a clubhouse manager. The clubhouse manager is responsible for serving as a director of all team operations as it relates to taking care of players and the clubhouse operations. Candidates must be well organized, willing to work long hours, energetic and professional. Duties include team laundry, coordinating luggage for road trips, maintaining the locker room, uniform repair, equipment management, food and drink preparation, and any other jobs to improving the overall operation of the clubhouse and players. Applicants must be 21 years old at time of employment, position starts April 17 and will end sometime in September. Must be present for all games and workouts (little flexibility), which can be seven days a week. Hours can be extremely erratic and include early morning and overnight hours. The Green Hills Public Library District has a part-time opening for a Circulation Associate in the Circulation Department. The job is 12 hours per work, $10 per hour. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to check-in and check-out library material, collect payment for fines, replace library cards and fees for other services, answer and direct patron inquiries by phone or public service desk, clerical dues (filing, typing, copying, etc.), assist patrons with computers, copiers and other equipment; process interlibrary loan transactions and hold requests, sort, shelve and manager library materials. Ideal candidate must enjoy working with the public, have proficient technology skills, and demonstrate excellent communication and customer service. Must be 18. Bilingual a plus.
