Local Mission Work this coming Saturday
Hope and Friendship's last Mission Stay Saturday needs baked goods, uplifting notes, and weed warriors to lend hands, feet and hearts.
The last Hope & Friendship Summer of 2018 “Mission Stay” Saturday needs lots from many.
Join Hope and Friendship Foundation and various members of Lemont organizations as we stay local and help complete some much needed mission work bettering a few yards and homes and bringing much needed assistance to some friends in need in our corner of the world. The Final Summer 2018 Mission Stay Saturday + Care Box Create/Delivery Day- Sat Aug 18 8am-12noon meeting at the Lemont Police Station at 8am Two teams of volunteers needed: yard work team and care box making and delivery team. Items sought for Care Boxes: * baked good sorted in Ziploc bags to fill Care Boxes/Shoe Boxes * encouraging notes to be packed in the care box for home bound, those who are experiencing difficult times, and appreciation notes for our Lemont Fire and Police Officers * Drop off donations to the Lemont Police Dept between 8-8:30am on Saturday morning Aug 18th, or bring with you if you are able to help. If you would like to drop donations off on Friday email me to set up a time/place. * volunteers needed to sort, create and deliver care boxes beginning at 8am, most likely finished by 10am Yard Team/Weed Warriors: Come ready to put your hands, feet and hearts to work in yards of friends who need this gift. We mow, weed, trim bushes/trees, clean up the yards and lift spirits! Bring your yard tools of preference to use. Email me with any questions. We meet at 8am at the Police Dept and roll out by 8:15am in a caravan to the homes.
