Child, 2 Adults Injured When Tractor Ride Tilts at Bengtson's Farm

The accident happened Monday around 2:30 p.m.

Three people were hurt Monday afternoon after a tractor ride tilted at Bengtson’s Farm when part of the trailer came loose, CBS Chicago reports. Homer Township Fire Protection District Chief Bob Tutko told Sun-Times Media that a father, his daughter and her grandmother sustained “bumps and bruises” and were taken to Silver Cross Hospital. All other passengers refused treatment. Twelve people reportedly were on the ride at the time of the accident at the farm, 13341 W. 151st Street in Homer Glen.

“The safety of our guests has always been our No. 1 priority, so we have decided to discontinue the hayrack ride until the cause can be determined,” owner Dave Bengtson said in a statement after the accident.
