Option Christmas Meat:
Sponsor the turkey and the supplies to cook and deliver it. We need at least 60 turkeys and I am hoping to purchase them at Chipain’s to help our local business who partners with us and so many other groups/organizations here in Lemont. Donate $15-$20 and help cover the cost of the turkeys, the cooking oil (an army of friends will operate 20 deep fryers as they prepare all of our Christmas meat), the turkey tins to hold them, the Reynolds wrap to cover them. Option Side Dishes and Desserts:
While you’re preparing your Christmas Dishes could you prepare and donate one more? We ran short on food last year. We had 72 homes to visit and could not fully fill the boxes with home cooked sides, rolls/butter, and desserts. We raided the Chipain’s Fresh Market deli and bought up potato salads, Cole Slaws, etc. We need side dishes, pastas, veggies, etc. in a disposable container for 4-6 persons. We will then provide enough food for each household proportionately. Donate reusable zip loc plastic containers, gallon bags, Chinet Plates, napkins, etc. If you can offer the food and will be around Christmas Day to drop it off to the Lemont Township Office (1115 Warner Ave- behind Chipain’s) between 11am-1:30pm we will take your amazing donation and make it part of a Christmas Blessing. If you want to donate the necessities listed they can be dropped off any day at any of the drop bins located at Lemont Police Department lobby, Starbucks, or Lemont Township Lobby before Saturday Dec 20th. Operation Care Box:
Donate any and all personal care items, cleaning and/or paper products to any of the bins located at the Lemont Police Department, Starbucks, or the Lemont Township Lobby by Friday December 19th. We will create care boxes filled with much needed items to bless a home that is struggling to live paycheck to paycheck. Your donation of detergent, soap, cleaning wipes or spray is money to this household.
