"I personally run my own company and am a mother of two. With that alone, I have shown the ability to manage my time and have done so with success," Kittridge said. "I believe my creativity, management skills and solid work ethic would be a great asset to the Lemont board."
When asked what the most pressing issue for Lemont is, Kittridge said it is the lack of businesses and development in the area.

"We need someone to handle our economic development whether we hire or out source a consulting agency, it needs to be addressed," she said.
She believes that Lemont has to be more proactive with assisting new builders and businesses coming in, and must also hold the current establishments accountable for what it is today.
"Transparency is key, and focusing on what needs to be spent so we can be successful is important," she added. "All of these empty store fronts and commercial buildings are eventually going to trickle down as the residents problem if we don't find a solution."
Another focus for Kittridge will be the residents of Lemont.
"[I want to] focus on more family and community needs and make everything more inviting. Emphasize on growth and realize with good leadership we can make that happen and not just keep talking about it," she said.
Kittridge said she chose to run for trustee because she knew she would have regretted it if she didn't.
"I decided I wouldn't allow myself the chance to regret that, I believe this is my time and my time to give back. I hope Lemont believes that same thing for me."
