Meet Lemont Village Trustee Candidate Rick Sniegowski

LEMONT, IL — The upcoming election is less than a month away, and early voting has already begun. In Lemont, one of the contested local races is the race for village board trustee. There are three open positions on the board, and Rick Sniegowski is one of the four candidates running.
Sniegowski is a Lemont native and he and his wife Peggy, have raised four children in Lemont.
Sniegowski is a current village trustee, and has also served as chairman of the Planning and Zoning Committee, and chariman of the UDO Development Committee. He is a part of the Lemont Party with fellow candidates Janelle Kittridge and Ron Stapleton.

"I am currently the liason between the Board and the Finance and Police Committees. I understand the importance of high quality, yet affordable pricing of homes in Lemont," Sniegowski said.
Sniegowski is the vice president and on the board of directors for K-Five Construction. He has a degree in business from Governor's State University.

Sniegowski believes financial security is the most pressing issue facing the village board.
HIs priorities include: "planning our future while incorporating our heritage; optimize and coordinate residential and commercial growth; develop a high quality mix of residential types and sizes; continue to push for more commuter rail service."
"I am a proven leader, who has been chosen by my peers, to chair numerous state and national industry committees," Sniegowski said. "I am known for my integrity, factual reviews and a 'getting it done' approach to a mission. I would be honored to be re-elected to maintain the progress Lemont is making."

There are three open positions on the village board in the April 2 election. The three other candidates are Ron Stapleton, Janelle Kittridge and Traci Sarpalius.
