Meet The Candidates of the Lemont Township United Party
The Lemont Township United Party is comprised of several candidates for a variety of Lemont Township roles.
LEMONT, IL- The Lemont Township United Party has backed several candidates for various Lemont Township positions, including trustees, supervisor and highway commissioner.
According to the United Party, it unites "together this diverse group which has earned your trust with a proven track record of service in Lemont."
Candidates the party has backed are: Mark Labno for highway commissioner, Steven Rosendahl for supervisor, Kenneth Jacobowski for assessor, Francis Wozniak for trustee, Douglass Wright for trustee, Gregory Nicklas for trustee, Gregory Gilbertson for trustee, and Barbara Buschman for clerk.

There are four trustee spots open, and five people have announced their candidacy. Jason Sanderson is the only candidate running that is not backed by the United Party. For highway commissioner, Mark Labno is running against write-in candidate Jim Durham.
Francis Wozniak

Wozniak has served as a township trustee since 1980, and currently is the Lemont Liquor Commissioner. He is an 83-year resident of Lemont, and also a past commander of the American Legion.
Douglass Wright
Wright is a Lemont business owner and has lived in the community for the past 14 years. He has served as president of the Lemont Lions, and is the current Region and Zone chair for Lions District 1BK. Wright is also the founder of the Fort Awesome Band, which supports causes like St. Judes and the VFW.
Gregory Nicklas
Nicklas has served as a township trustee for 14 years, and has lived in the community for 32 years. For 29 years, he was the director of national accounts at ADT Security Systems. He has also been a medical van driver for 10 years and a Meals on Wheels deliverer for nine years.
Gregory Gilbertson
Gilbertson currently serves as a trustee for the township. He is a retired business owner, and has lived in Lemont for 28 years. Currently, he is also the Equestrian Estates Homeowners Association President.
Mark Labno
Labno is running for the position of highway commissioner. He is a life-long Lemont resident, and has served for six years on the Lemont Chamber Board. Labno brings over 20 years of landscaping and large project experience.
Steven Rosendahl
Rosendahl is running unopposed for the position of supervisor. He has been the Lemont Township supervisor for the past 12 years, and is a 32-year resident of Lemont. Rosendahl has over 40 years of experience in human resources and manufacturing operations. He also served on the Lemont village board for four years, and is a member of the Lemont Lions.
Kenneth Jacobowski
Jacobowski is running unopposed for the position of assessor for the township. He has served as the assessor since 1998, and is a 37-year resident of Lemont. Jacobowski has years of experience in property taxes and assessments.
Barbara Buschman
Buschman is running unopposed for the position of township clerk. She is currently serving her third term in the post. In the past, she also served four terms as Lemont village trustee. Buschman is a Lemont Lions member, a Lemont Historical Society member, a member of the police pension board, and chair of the historic preservation board. She has lived in the community for 58 years.
