Memorial Day Weekend: Temps In The 90s For IL
The hottest day of the weekend will be Sunday, when temperatures will get up to 94 degrees.

If you're looking to spend time outside this Memorial Day weekend, you may want to have a beach or some shade nearby. Temperatures will get up in the 90s this weekend, and an Air Quality Alert has also been issued through Saturday night for the area. On Friday, northern Illinois will see a marginal risk for severe storms.
According to the National Weather Service, the air quality alert has been issued for McHenry, Lake, Kane, DuPage, Cook, Kendall, Grundy and Will counties. An air pollution action day is declared when weather conditions are such that widespread ozone and or particulate levels are expected to be at or above the unhealthy for sensitive groups.
The summer-like warmth will bring temperatures up to 94 degrees on Sunday, but the rest of the weekend will also be hot, according to the NWS. Saturday has a high of 91 degrees, and Monday has a high of 92. There is also a limited lightning threat on Saturday, and a chance of storms during the day Saturday.
