Michigan Man Indicted After June Bank Robbery: Lemont Cops

Amirante has previously been charged in three bank robberies in Texas and one in Michigan.

LEMONT, IL — A Michigan man has been indicted after robbing a bank in Lemont in June, police said. Michael Amirante, 43, of Capac, Michigan, was indicted on Aug. 2 by the US District Court of Northern Illinois.

According to police, the indictment stated Amirante, through intimidation, removed $3,750 from the TCF Bank, 1202 State St. Amirante has previously been charged in three bank robberies in Texas and one in Michigan. Amirante was sentenced to 63 months in prison for the previous cases.
