Mike and Joe to headline LHSEF’s Taste of Lemont
LHSEF will host Taste of Lemont on Saturday, Sept. 9.

LEMONT, IL — Although it's still a few months away, excitement is already ramping up for Taste of Lemont with the announcement that Mike and Joe will be headlining the community event. LHSEF will host "Food for Thought: Taste of Lemont" near the Metra Lot in downtown Lemont on Saturday, Sept. 9.
According to a release from LHS, the event will run from 5 to 11 p.m. and will feature some of the best food and beverages from Lemont, as well as a concert from Mike and Joe.
Tickets are on sale now and are $10 if purchased in advance ($15 in person at the door), according to a release. Admission is free for ages 14 and under, and also free for Lemont High School students with a valid student ID. Tickets may be purchased online by visiting the school’s website - www.lhs210.net - and clicking on the “Taste of Lemont” banner, or by visiting lhsef2017.bpt.me.

According to a release, Mike and Joe typically play hits from artists ranging from U2 and Maroon 5, to Justin Timberlake and the Dave Matthews Band. While its shows most often feature hits from the 90s through today, Mike and Joe throws in songs from classic rock royalty such as The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac as well.
Last year, 2,500 people attended the Taste of Lemont, according to a release. The event is LHSEF's most important annual fundraiser, and it's open to all ages. Participating food and beverage vendors will be announced later this month.

“Food for Thought: Taste of Lemont” will be a rain or shine event, according to a release. The Taste of Lemont will also feature a “Split the Pot” fundraiser. Individuals who do not wish to purchase tickets online should contact LHSEF board member Janette Acton at either actonjanette@comcast.net or (630) 567-2640.
Proceeds from “Food for Thought” benefit the LHSEF, whose mission is to partner with the community to make lasting improvements to Lemont High School that will enhance the total educational experience for all of its students, according to a release.
