Mild Monday Before Snow Returns To IL
The week will start off mild before a chance of snow or wintry mix is possible every day for the rest of the week.
ILLINOIS — After record-breaking warmth Sunday, temperatures will be mild Monday before dropping back to more seasonable temps by mid-week. The National Weather Service said there are also multiple chances for wintry precipitation Monday night through Thursday.
Before wintry weather moves in, temps could get up to the 50s again for some of the Chicago area. Temps will be in the 40s to the north and 50s to the south, the weather service said. By Monday night, light rain or freezing rain is possible.
Tuesday will have highs in the mid-30s, and it will be windy with gusts up to 25 mph. The weather service said a light wintry mix is possible Tuesday night for the south suburbs.

A wintry mix is also possible Wednesday to the south, and the high for the day is 32 degrees. According to the weather service, there is another chance of snow Wednesday night, which could also continue into Thursday.
Thursday will have a high of 33, and snow is possible Thursday night, Friday and Friday night. The work week will close out with a high of 33 Friday.
