75-Degree Weather After Sunny Weekend: IL Weather
Temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s this weekend, but a high of 75 degrees is expected Tuesday.
ILLINOIS — After a very mild Friday for most of the Chicago area, the temps will be slightly cooler for the weekend before another warm-up at the start of the work week. The National Weather Service said rain will begin late Friday night and end early Saturday morning southeast of I-55.
Saturday has a high of 53 degrees, but after the morning rain, it should be mostly sunny. Sunday will also be sunny, and will be even warmer with a high of 60 degrees. It will also be slightly windy this weekend, with gusts up to 15 mph on Saturday, and up to 10 mph on Sunday.
As we look to the start of the work week, rain and thunderstorms are possible for the area, but temperatures will be in the upper 60s, with a high of 67 on Monday and a high of 75 expected Tuesday, the weather service said.

- FRIDAY NIGHT: Showers, mainly after 1 a.m. Low around 41. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
- SATURDAY: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 7 a.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 51. North northwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
- SATURDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy, with a low around 35. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
- SUNDAY: Sunny, with a high near 56. East northeast wind around 5 mph, with gusts as high as 10 mph.
- SUNDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy, with a low around 39. East northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
