Mountain Market Planned For Downtown Lemont

LEMONT, IL — A new convenience store is planned for downtown Lemont. Mountain Market, located at 326 Main St., does not have an opening date yet, but will provide a convenience store for downtown residents.

During the State of the Village, Mayor John Egofske said this site was the Wend family business from 1867 to 1995, then was the Lemont Inn from 1995 to 2002, the Quarry Inn from 2002 to 2006 and finally was Amy's Pub from 2006 to 2007.

Al and Wajdan Sweis purchased the building in 2015, Egofske said. A third level will be added to the building for the owner's residence.
