Multi-Day System Could Bring Several Inches Of Snow To IL
Moderate snow could occur Friday evening into Saturday morning as the system moves east out of the area.
ILLINOIS — A multi-day snow event will affect most of northern Illinois starting Wednesday night, continuing into early Thursday and ending Saturday. The National Weather Service said light snow will begin between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. for the DeKalb and Ottawa areas, and between 1 and 4 a.m. for the Waukegan, Chicago, Joliet and Kankakee areas.
Minor snow accumulations are expected, and snow could mix with rain or drizzle. The weather service said there could be light accumulations for the Thursday morning commute.

According to the weather service, there could be minor icing due to mixed precipitation late Thursday night into Friday.
