My Christmas List

Seeking to meet some immediate needs of those in need within our arm's reach, hoping you might "know a guy" who can help me!

My Christmas Wish List:
As we are hustling and bustling through our last minute preparations I thought I’d put out my wish list in case you “know a guy” who can make things happen:

to help those who need it:
*I have a family (a large family) that needs a washer (desperately)
*I need a window repaired- it’s a broken pane of a multiple paned window- will most likely take it down to Peterson’s to help this family out- landlord won’t cover it
*need to move a dryer from Mokena to Lemont to help a family receive a donation from a friend for a friend in need
*need to move all of the meal boxes from Jewel (raised from funds you are donating at the check out!!!) from Jewel to our meal sorting location on Tuesday Dec 23rd in the afternoon hours (around 2-3pm) need a few pick ups or multiple runs
*volunteers who want to be on a on-call email/text list for helping to shovel drives and walks for elderly and physically unable friends

items to make magic happen:
*still seeking boxes to deliver the meals on Christmas Day (about 2’x2’)
*side dishes to be cooked and portioned to sizes for 4-6 persons, dropped off between 11am-1:30pm on Christmas Day at Lemont Township Office (1115 Warner Ave)- I have enough mashed potatoes promised so hoping to focus on stuffing, veggie dishes, side dishes of all sorts, rolls/butter and of course dessert!

items to help those in need (many want to adopt a family here is what all who are struggling ask for and need):
*gift cards for gas, food, Walgreens/CVS, Target, splurges: hair, nails, workouts, desserts (Dunkin Donuts, TCBY), Pizza delivery for meal and more! (Jimbo’s, etc.), fast food for quick stops, downtown business gift cards benefit those who couldn’t otherwise afford to shop/eat there and the businesses that we want to stay here.

I try not to ask for much but only for what is necessary. If I could meet just some of these needs by Christmas I will be completely satisfied knowing I was a voice for what is needed to the ears of who could meet the need.
Blessed to be simply the conduit from those who need to those that can meet that need. Living in the moment of the beauty of the reason for the season.
Wishing you peace,
Terri
